Triangular Prism is an editorial project consisting primarily of the publication of quarterly issues on this site, and sporadically of the publication of printed booklets collecting selected material from the site.
The purpose of Triangular Prism is to publish complete essays (of varied lengths) that may provide valuable reading experiences. Each quarterly issue will comprise between 3 and 7 pieces.
I conceived TP as an independent literary quarterly with myself as general editor, in a desire to foster certain qualities in essayistic pieces that have works of cinema as central subject. Through my own writing about films, to which I started devoting more energy a few years ago, I guess I developed a sort of philosophy of approach that I thought could also have validity as an editorial mission.
The site launched initially hosting a number of my essays, to try to reach an audience and establish itself in some fashion. These are grouped under “Issue Zero”, providing a general idea of the substance of the project, even while submissions for the first issue proper, scheduled to appear in March 2026, are open.
I hope you enjoy Triangular Prism.
